Tension In Asaba As Hoodlums Behead Security Officer 24 Hours To Election

 



There is tension in Asaba communities following the death of a security officer and one other unidentified person.

Naija News learnt that the officer was allegedly beheaded and burnt to death with a motorcycle along Ugbolu mi-5 road in the Ugbolu community while the civilian was stabbed to death.

According to PUNCH, hoodlums suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra

invaded the community in the early hours of Friday and killed two people.

The death of the two persons created panic in the areas as IPOB members stormed the streets chanting and shooting.

The dead bodies were found along Ugbolu road around 7:30 am, near the 63 Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters.

However, confirming the death, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Bright Edafe, said only one dead body was found.

Edafe said the details of the killing of the unidentified man were yet-to-be-ascertained, adding they are investigating the matter.
