Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti, has responded to the party's National Working Committee (NWC) decision to suspend him from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

 


Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti, has responded to the party's National Working Committee (NWC) decision to suspend him from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).


In a statement issued by his media assistant, Mr. Lere Olayinka, Fayose claimed that the suspension was only the last laugh for a dead horse and that the Senator Iyorcha Ayu-led NWC's actions lacked both moral and legal justification.


Part of the statement read; 


"The alleged suspension is just Ayu and his buddies' latest comedy skit, for their own amusement.


"The disgraceful tenure of Ayu as national chairman of the PDP will become history and the party will enjoy a new lease on life in a matter of days."
