family has reportedly rejected a coffin brought by their son in-law for the burial of his mother-in-law

According to reports, a family in Tombo Mbatie, in the Buruku local government area of Benue State, rejected a coffin that their son-in-law had brought for the burial of his mother-in-law.

Bem Raphael Aondongu, a Facebook user, revealed this on his page and stated that the occurrence took place on March 30, 2023.

The article stated, "In the wee hours of this morning, an unnamed family rejected a casket brought by son-in-law for the burial of mother-in-law."

According to TIV tradition, the first female child to get married is forced to take on the burden of arranging for a casket to be used for the burial of any deceased parents.

And in order to uphold tradition, the first female child and her husband, who is the deceased mother's son-in-law, made every effort to bring the casket in the photographs below, but they were unsuccessful.

The deceased's family reportedly stated that the casket is unsightly and inadequate for burying a member of their family. It is evident that the coffin has been turned on its side. What do you think about this?
