Navy Beat Police Officer To Stupor

Some officials of the Nigerian Navy reportedly invaded a police facility in Delta State, on Friday evening and assaulted a police officer.

Naija News learnt that the incident happened at Enerhen police station, in Warri.

The assaulted officer was shown pacing restlessly about the police station's grounds in the viral footage, surrounded by furious coworkers who were pleading with him to remain calm. His face was covered with blood, and a portion of his police suit was torn.

Later, the hurt policeman took off his shirt and hurried towards the gate, seemingly in an effort to find the naval personnel who are suspected of assaulting him. The cause of the security staff's involvement in the altercation is unknown. Bright Edafe, a spokesman for the Delta State Police, told Premium Times that they are handling the situation internally.
