Bola Tinubu, the incoming president of Nigeria, has traveled to Paris, France, to relax before departing on a shorter hajj.

His media assistant, Tunde Rahman, revealed this in a statement that was made public. Tinubu deserves a break after a "exhaustive campaign and election season," according to Rahman.

"President-elect Aswaj Bola Tinubu has been abroad to recover and prepare for his May 29, 2023 inauguration after a very taxing campaign and election season. After a busy campaign and election season, the President-elect made the decision to take a breather and relax in Paris and London before traveling to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (the Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting, which starts on Thursday.

The President-elect will take advantage of the time to outline his transition strategy while he is overseas.
