The Nigeria Labour Congress has issued a 7-day ultimatum to the federal government to address current fuel and naira scarcity in the country.

At a press conference on the results of a meeting called by the Central Working Committee of the congress today, March 13, at Labour House, Joe Ajaero, the president of the NLC, revealed this.

If the matter was not resolved after the ultimatum expired, the labor union threatened to go on strike.

If nothing is done to alleviate the suffering of common Nigerians, Ajaero cautioned the FG that workers will be told to stay off the job at the end of the seven-day period.

He declared: "The Congress desires to inform the Federal Government that we will no longer keep quiet on this subject of fuel scarcity and financial crunch.

All employees in Nigeria should stay at home if the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Federal Government do not take the necessary action by the end of the seven-day period, according to the NLC.
