President Zelensky invites Tinubu to Ukraine for state visit

Tinubu is invited to visit Ukraine as a state guest by President Zelensky.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, has extended a state visit invitation to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect of Nigeria. The invitation was given by Zelensky in a congrats letter to Tinubu.

In his congratulations, Zelensky stated that his war-torn nation is determined to further expand its partnership with Nigeria.

It says in the letter

"Thank you very much for being elected president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Despite the extraordinarily trying circumstances brought on by Russia's full-scale armed attack against our state, Ukraine is committed to furthering its bilateral engagement with Nigeria and its participation in international organizations.

The United Nations Organization's General Assembly Resolution, "Principles of the UN Charter underlying a comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace in Ukraine," is grateful for the support of your nation.

I anticipate Nigeria will actively take part in putting it into practice. We regard the continued provision of global food security—for which Ukraine was and is still a dependable global guarantor—as a crucial area of cooperation.

The successful implementation of the Ukrainian program "Grain from Ukraine," which aims to greatly boost the supply of grain to African nations in order to prevent famine, will make it easier to complete this task.

I'd like to take this occasion to welcome you to visit Ukraine on an official basis whenever it's convenient for you.

I am confident that your visit will improve communication between our nations and support ongoing efforts by the international community to address urgent problems of the day, particularly the crisis that Russia has brought about with regard to these assurances of global food security.
