Michael Agosu, an artisan who is being probed for domestic abuse by police officers assigned to the Ogijo Police Station, Ogun State Command, has admitted that he abuses Kafiat Salami because she denies him sex.


According to Vanguard, the Agosu were detained on Thursday, April 20, after knocking Kafiat out at their Escoba neighborhood home in Ogjijo, Ogun State.  


The father of four explained his motivations for acting as follows:


"My wife is constantly requesting money. She forbids me from touching her. She puts on pants at night to stop us from having sex. After one round whenever she agrees to let me have her, she quickly puts on her pants.


Kafiat pleaded with the government to save her and


 "The domestic violence is something I don't like. Please help me out, government, before he murders me.


The upset woman described her 14-year experience at her husband's hands in this statement: 


He has been beating me in this manner for years. He beats me up, even while I was carrying our first child. The incident from today took place about 11:00. When my husband returned, I was doing the laundry when he threatened to beat me to death. He whacked me in the eye with wood and iron before I knew what was happening. He continued striking me even as I was bleeding.


Kafiat continued by saying that he had not paid my dowry.


"We have been married for more than 14 years, and we have four kids together. The only person who knew about the marriage was my grandmother. Neither were my parents. Before dad died away, I visited my father just after I gave birth to my first kid.  My spouse is a native of Cotonou. He is a carpenter who works in Lagos' Mushin neighborhood.She stated
