Rivers assembly asks DSS to probe CJ over age falsification

The Rivers State House of Assembly has taken a significant step by calling for an investigation into allegations of age falsification against the state's Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Amadi. This development came after the Deputy Speaker, Hon Dumle Maol, presented documents to the assembly, suggesting that the Chief Judge had falsified his age while in service.

The assembly debated the issue and resolved to request the Department of State Services (DSS) to conduct a thorough investigation and report back to the House. The Speaker, Martin Amaewhule, emphasized the importance of investigating this serious allegation.

The investigation aims to uncover the truth behind the alleged age falsification, which could have significant implications for the Chief Judge's position and the state's judiciary.
