Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies may undermine the international status of the US dollar

According to ChainCatcher news, Beincrypto reports that Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, stated in a recent letter that cryptocurrencies (especially Bitcoin) have many benefits, especially through tokenization, but that they could threaten the dollar's standing internationally if investors see them as a hedge against inflation. "The dollar's position as the world's reserve currency has benefited the U.S. for decades, but that does not guarantee it will always be so. By 2030, mandatory government spending and debt servicing will consume all federal revenue, leading to a permanent deficit. If the U.S. cannot control its debt… it could potentially relinquish this status to digital assets like Bitcoin," said Larry Fink, who said that the interests of cryptocurrencies do not always coincide with those of traditional finance (TradFi) or the dollar. It is crucial to make clear that Fink maintains his support for cryptocurrencies and enumerated a number of actual issues...

Skills in blockchain technology part 2

Blockchain development involves creating and maintaining decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts using blockchain technology. Here’s a breakdown for programmers: 1. Key Concepts Blockchain : A decentralized ledger that records transactions securely. Smart Contracts : Self-executing contracts written in code, stored on a blockchain. Consensus Mechanisms : Rules determining how transactions are verified (e.g., Proof of Work, Proof of Stake). Decentralized Applications (dApps) : Apps that run on a blockchain without central authority. 2. Development Languages Solidity (Ethereum, BSC): Primary language for Ethereum-based smart contracts. Rust (Solana, Near): Used for high-performance blockchain networks. Go (Hyperledger Fabric, Cosmos): Preferred for blockchain back-end development. JavaScript/TypeScript : For dApp front-end (React.js, Next.js). Python : For blockchain automation, analysis, and back-end APIs. 3. Blockchain Platforms Ethereum : Smart cont...

Why We Clashed with Nigerian Army in Abuja — Islamic Movement of Nigeria

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) has given its account of the violent clash with the Nigerian Army during the Abuja International Quds Day procession on March 28th. A senior member of the movement, Sheikh Sidi Sokoto, stated that the soldiers used live ammunition, and many participants sustained gunshot wounds, some of which were life-threatening. However, the Nigerian Army has presented a different account, stating that the Shiite members initiated the violence. Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu confirmed the confrontation, saying that the protesters became violent, disrupted law and order, and started engaging the troops. Eyewitnesses reported that the clash o...

What is blockchain part1

  1. Basic Blockchain Knowledge (Foundation for Any Blockchain Career) If you're new to blockchain, start by understanding these key concepts: A. What is Blockchain? Blockchain is a decentralized, digital ledger that records transactions securely and transparently. Key features include: Decentralization – No single authority controls the network. Transparency – Transactions are visible on the public ledger. Immutability – Once recorded, data cannot be changed. Security – Uses cryptographic hashing (e.g., SHA-256) for security. Example: Bitcoin uses blockchain to record transactions without needing a bank. B. How Blockchain Works 1. Transaction Initiation – A user sends a transaction (e.g., sending Bitcoin). 2. Transaction Verification – Miners or validators confirm if the transaction is valid. 3. Block Creation – Valid transactions are grouped into a "block." 4. Consensus Mechanism – The network agrees on the new block using Proof of Work (PoW), Proof of Stake (PoS), or o...

The assembly debated the issue and resolved to request the Department of State Services (DSS) to conduct a thorough investigation and report back to the House. The Speaker, Martin Amaewhule, emphasized the importance of investigating this serious allegation. The investigation aims to uncover the truth behind the alleged age falsification, which could have significant implications for the Chief Judge's position and the state's judiciary. NATIONAL ASSEMBLE SAY...

President Bola Tinubu's proposal to declare an emergency in Rivers State has been granted by the Senate. Following a meeting of MPs behind closed doors, the decision was made on Thursday.   The emergency declaration was also approved by the House of Representatives just hours prior to this vote. The six-month suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy Ngozi Odu, and every member of the Rivers State House of Assembly is about to go into effect now that both houses of the National Assembly have supported the action.   Tinubu declared the emergency rule on Tuesday. Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (Rtd.), the recently chosen sole administrator, has assumed complete authority over the state's operations. After arriving in Rivers on Thursday, he met behind closed doors with important stakeholders and senior security personnel.
President Bola Tinubu's hurried and unlawful proclamation of a state of emergency in Rivers State has been categorically denounced by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC). The labor unions demanded that the statement be immediately revoked, arguing that it was an excess of presidential power and that it clearly violated Part II, Section 305 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended). The NLC President Joe Ajaero and his TUC colleague Festus Osifo jointly issued a statement on Wednesday that included this information. In addition to being illegal, the alleged suspension or dismissal of the State House of Assembly, the Governor, and the Deputy Governor is a clear attack on democracy. It creates a risky precedent that undermines constitutional governance and jeopardizes subnational governments' independence. "A democratic society cannot flourish if elected officials are summarily dismissed at the president's discretion. According t...
